Meshed a new shape. For those who might like my shapes and textures but not the lengths.
I used a different method to make the nail this time. It allowed me to have more control over topology and density of the subdivided mesh, so I tried to humble the polycount down for this one. 1,760 faces, compared to the 1,040 of the base game mesh, while mine is rounder and chonkier. I’m never getting back to extruded plains…
Baby nails are the easiest to place on fingers and bake shiny textures for. At first, I went for french design, and it looked okay and pretty functional, but it was missing the spark. So I tried aura design as was recommended in the comments on my Patreon, and it kind of clicked with the texture? At least I like how it turned out, the nails look like little gems. Or jellies.
